We welcome enquiries from ANYONE
What skills and experience would I need?
An ability to get on with people and bring out their best is far more important than formal qualifications and experience.
What preparation will I be given?
All our volunteers have a full induction and training for the role, including a visit to the activity they have chosen.
What support will I be given once I start?
You will have regular contact with ECHO's Volunteer Co-ordinator, and the leader of the activity you support. You will also receive our volunteer newsletter, and the chance to attend our Social Learning Days.
Will it cost me anything?
No! You can claim back any expenses.
Will it effect my benefits?
Volunteering for ECHO will not affect your benefits. However, you may need to inform the benefits agency, depending on which benefits you receive.
How will ECHO decide if I am suitable for the role?
We will get to know you as you go through the process of training and induction. We will also ask you to provide two references and undergo a Criminal Records Bureau check.
